An Interview with ANDY CHRISMAN~worship leader
                                                          by Debbie Allen

1. How long have you been involved with World Vision?
I have been involved with World Vision for about eight years now. It's been an
awesome privilege to help raise awareness and money for children who would never
know a hot meal or warm hug without WV's involvement in their lives.

2. What a calling from God to be a worship leader. Can you tell me about that experience
and a little about your church in Florida?
Actually, I am now the worship pastor at Church on the Move in Tulsa, Ok. It has
been a big step from leading worship at a church of 300 to a church of 13,000. But
this is my heart - worshipping and leading others in worship. Honestly, performing
can leave me a little flat sometimes. Worship is where I really connect. It's what
God created me to do.

3. There's an incredible shirt on your website with "One" on the front and on the back "One
decision, One faith, One God." Was that your t-shirt design idea? It is a brilliant shirt.
Yeah - pretty much. That was the whole idea behind my solo project. There's only
one God that has the capacity to create the universe and yet have the heart to die
for us. When we really digest the fact that not a single one of us is here by accident,
you can get pretty fired up about the purpose God has for your life.

4. What is your favorite song on your cd "One?"
Atmosphere. It was the first song I wrote for the project - almost two years before
we went into production. It kind of summarizes how I've coped with all the changes
in my life over the past 5 or 6 years.

5. How involved were you in the making of  your cd "One?"
Well, I co-wrote every song, hand-picked every producer, and whatever else I could
think of to do. I realized early on that this project was going to succeed or fail from
my decision making, so I decided just to go with my heart. I sang songs that moved
me and worked people I loved and admired as friends and musicians.

6. Please share your favorite bible verse.
Romans 8:28 - "All things work together for good for those who love God and are
called according to his purpose."

7. On the road with 4Him over the years I am sure that  you have an awful lot of stories to
tell. What is the most memorable?
I guess it would be the first Young Messiah Tour that we did. We shared the stage
for eighteen shows with Wayne Watson, Steve Green, Sandi Patty, Carman, BeBe
and CeCe Winans, and a bunch of other "A-level" artists. It was cool to think that
we actually belonged on stage with some of the legends of Christian music. Plus, it
was a lot of fun.

8. If you were a concert promoter what groups would you collaberate  for a phenominal
Christian concert?
Hmm...The Old Imperials (w/Russ Taff), Matthew West, Keith Green (wouldn't it
be cool if he does a concert when we meet him in heaven?), Delirious, and 4HIM (of
course).

9. How old were you when you knew music was your calling in life?
19. I was really running from the music ministry before then. Once I surrendered to
it I gained a tremendous amount of peace.

10. Have your wife and children ever traveled with you while you were on tour? What was
your favorite destination?
They go with me every now and then. My wife always goes when I do concerts in
Hawaii. That's our all-time favorite place to visit.

11. What is the hardest thing about being a worship leader?
Keeping it fresh. It's easy to slip into the same old set of songs and delivery. I
always have to remind myself that the word commands us to "sing a new song to
the Lord." And I believe that means daily.
